About Us:

The Andrew Pardee Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Academy team strives to bring out the best in everyone. We help our students realize their potential and open themselves up to a new perspective. Every individual will experience unexpected physical and mental growth through training – you are more capable than you believe! Join the legacy we’ve created at the first Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu school in West Virginia and train with the only IBJJF black belt in the city of Weirton.

Our History:

Owner and Professor Andrew Pardee is a multiple time IBJJF medalist in the Adults, Master 1 & Master 2 divisions. He is the only Black Belt in Weirton, WV recognized by the IBJJF and holds 2 No-Gi Pans IBJJF Bronze Medals.

After years of hard work and dedication, Professor Andrew Pardee wanted to bring his passion back to his hometown, where BJJ wasn’t offered. Weirton, West Virginia had a need for martial arts and he wanted to help people discover self-improvement through Jiu-Jitsu. Professor Andrew Pardee brought his dream to life when he opened his Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Academy in Weirton during 2017. He strives to continue giving back to the community by sharing the benefits of martial arts training. As time goes on, Professor Andrew Pardee hopes to further establish a long legacy of students and instructors for generations to come.

Professor Andrew Pardee

Professor Andrew Pardee is a local Weirton, WV native that owns and operates Andrew Pardee Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Academy which is a Shawn Hammonds Affiliated Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu school. Professor Pardee started his Martial Arts Journey learning the art of Karate at a very young age after years of training Professor Pardee went on to pursue his journey in learning different styles such as Judo, Boxing, Kick Boxing, MMA and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. With 16 years of training experience Professor Pardee holds the Rank of Black Belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu under 4th Degree Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Black Belt Shawn Hammonds and a Yellow Belt in Judo under Doug Lowden. Professor Pardee himself & his Academy are the only recognized Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Black Belt Professor & School in Weirton, WV recognized by the IBJJF.
